Kirsch Drapery Hardware

Kirsch Drapery Hardware was founded over 100 years ago when Charles W. Kirsch invented the first flat curtain rod and telescoping flat rod in 1907.  With the founding of Kirsch Drapery Hardware, he began packaging his curtain rods, complete with brackets.   Many innovations followed.  In 1935, Kirsch began manufacturing wood slat Venetian blinds.  And, in 1939, Kirsch rods were the only rods used in the movie classic, “Gone With The Wind.”  Over the years, Kirsch rods have been used in other films and the innovations have continued to be developed.  These include the  Superfine® adjustable traverse rod, vertical slat traverse rods, decorative café rods, Architrac® traverse tracks for professional installations, the world’s first motorized electromagnetic traverse rod, Continental® wide pocket curtain rod, and the Swag ‘N’ Tails™ (a pole set that allows homeowners to turn simple scarves into complex-looking top treatments), to name a few.  Kirsch introduces new signature lines of decorative window hardware like the hardware by Clodagh and Raymond Waites and the Gallery Kirsch Designer of the Year Program.

Kirsch has a reputation for quality and elegance.  They have recently introduced three new series in a collection:

  • Classics – Create a stunning look for the window with the classic allure and rich wood finishes.
  • Urban Comfort – Influenced by a contemporary lifestyle, these transitional designs enable the blend of Zen-like simplicity with structural beauty.
  • Renaissance – Representing a royal time in history, the beautiful finishes and handcrafted finial designs help create a new era of opulent elegance. create incomparable looks for your home

With Kirsch Drapery Hardware, professional designers get a first-hand look at new products and can become a part of future design advisory groups.  All good news for the Accents Plus customer.
